Whitefaced Woodland (100 grams) Whitefaced Woodland also known as the Penistone sheep is a breed of sheep that came from Pennines Hills in northern England. They are white with a cute distinct pink nose. Their wool range from fine to coarse. Their wool can have a little bit of kemp. Their wool is very sturdy and can be used for tugs, felted items or outerwear. When dyed, it does create a more watercolour effect such as Polwarth. It feels a bit similar to Texel. It has a 35-35mm micron count. Good for felting.
Each listing is per braid of fibre. You will receive one of the braids on the photo above.
I recommend hand washing finished items from your handspun yarn and laying it flat to dry. Please be aware that due to the nature of hand-dyeing, all braids of fibre will not look the same. I do my best to depict the colour of the fibre. However, some monitors may show colours differently. Acid dyes were used to dye the fibre and rinsed after the fibre has been dyed. There might be some slight bleeding after the first time washing it.
